Winter Park was built to be looked at. Brick streets, Park Avenue, the lakes of the Winter Park Chain, and homes that range from 1920s bungalows and Mediterranean Revival houses to new builds on the lakefront. Collections here tend to be serious, too: original paintings, family portraits, framed prints bought on the Avenue, and mirrors that deserve better than a nail and a guess.

Firehawk Art Installers hangs art, mirrors and gallery walls in Winter Park homes: measured, leveled, anchored into the right substrate, and finished in a single visit. We bring more than 10 years of experience and 2,700+ installations to your walls, and we hold a 5.0 rating across 100+ Google reviews.

Older walls, newer walls, and why it matters

Walls in Winter Park vary more than in most Central Florida towns. A historic home may have plaster over lath, which cracks if you drill it carelessly. A 1950s ranch may have concrete block on the exterior walls. A new build is usually drywall over studs. Each one needs a different anchor and a different drill technique, and choosing the wrong one is how a heavy frame ends up on the floor. We identify the wall before we drill it, and we choose hardware one step stronger than the piece requires.

What we install in Winter Park

We hang to a 58 to 62 inch centerline so art reads at eye level, then adjust for furniture, ceiling height and sight lines from the next room. Before a single hole goes in, we hold each piece against the wall so you can see it in place.

What it costs

We price by crew size, so you know the rate before we arrive:

Every booking has a two-hour minimum, and a $200 deposit holds your date. Museum-grade hardware and travel within the greater Orlando area are included. Pieces over 100 pounds, anything hung higher than ten feet, or walls that need special hardware get a custom quote before we arrive.

Working on a client project? Designers and art consultants should start on our designer and trade page, and builders and general contractors on our contractor page.

Frequently asked questions

Can you hang art on plaster walls without cracking them?

Yes. We score and drill plaster slowly with the right bit, and we use anchors made for plaster and lath or go into the framing behind it. If a wall is too fragile for the piece you have in mind, we will tell you before we drill.

How heavy a mirror can you hang?

Most mirrors are standard work for a two-person crew. Anything over 100 pounds gets a custom quote and engineered anchoring, and very heavy or ceiling-hung pieces are reviewed further before we schedule them.

Do I need a plan before you arrive?

No. Send a few photos and rough sizes when you book. On the day, we walk the rooms with you and suggest placement, spacing and height if you want the help.

When can you come out?

We install Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with evenings and Sundays by arrangement. Most jobs are scheduled within a few business days.
